Amplifying Impact Through Effective and Creative Storytelling

Jamie Millard will talk about identifying, producing and amplifying good storytelling. Millard is executive director of Pollen Midwest, a Minneapolis-based nonprofit focused on building better-connected communities. In 2009, she co-founded the literary arts magazine Paper Darts. She was recognized in the Huffington Post as one of four millennial leaders “doing important work to move us toward a more just and equitable society.” This event will feature a presentation by Millard followed by a Q&A session.

Kathy Jensen and Sara Froehlich will walk through the benefits of using the Folwell Web Theme on your website(s). They will give an overview of the theme components that are considered essential for all U sites and then dive deeper into how, by combining the Folwell components, you are able to create an accessible site that can include design customizations that highlight your unit's brand. They will explain the feedback and development process for theme components and give a sneak peek at some of the design (in progress) for the U's updated homesite using Folwell.
